Molly Reed joined ABC22/FOX45 in January of 2019 as a reporter.
Molly is happy to be in the Miami Valley, reporting the news and getting you answers about what’s going on in our community!
Molly is a Denver, Colorado native but grew up in Satellite Beach, Florida – a small beach town just south of Cocoa Beach. The two cities are actually separated by Patrick Air Force Base.
Molly’s not new to Ohio or snow, though! Before joining our team in Dayton, she worked for WKBN/WYTV in Youngstown for three years as an anchor and reporter. During her time in the “Rust Belt,” she covered a range of topics including big crimes and murders, visits from President Donald Trump, the closing of GM Lordstown, and Ohio’s heroin crisis.
Molly attended and graduated from Satellite High School (Go Scorpions!) She’s a 2015 graduate of Florida State University, where she earned her degree in journalism. During that time, Molly interned at both WKMG and WESH in Orlando, Florida. She also reported on Florida State news and sports for the school’s TV program.
Outside of news, you can catch Molly glued to any TV that’s playing Florida State sports or the Denver Broncos. She also enjoys trying new restaurants, running/cycling, visiting her family back home in Florida, and walking her black Lab, Seamus.
Molly says to reach out with any story ideas or even local recommendations for places to go. She’d be happy to chat!
