I was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina but was raised in a suburb of Chicago. I spent many years in Los Angeles, but I'm glad I get to start my career in the Midwest, which will always feel like home to me.
I moved to Los Angeles right after high school to pursue a professional dance career since that was my childhood dream. Some of my credits as a dancer include choreographing and dancing for actress Taryn Manning's band, Boomkat, performing in a New Years Eve show held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, and dancing in the short film "Spelling Bee."
After retiring from the dance industry, I realized that I wanted to pursue a journalism career. I earned my associate's degree in journalism from Glendale Community College in 2021, and I graduated from California State University, Northridge with my bachelor's degree in 2023. I worked at the radio station, KCSN while I was in school, which allowed me to grow as a journalist and get hands-on experience.
I'm a big sports fan, and I root for Chicago teams since I grew up there. In my free time I like to enjoy nature by taking walks or bike riding. Another hobby of mine is photography.
Now, I'm excited to be working as a multi-media journalist where I can tell stories that impact and serve the Dayton community.
