Jamie was born and raised in Massachusetts, where winter snow storms led to his first interest in understanding how the atmosphere worked. That quest for knowledge brought him to Penn State, where he received a degree from the largest collegiate Meteorology department in the world.

After a year working as a meteorologist for the United States Golf Association as a meteorologist (which included meeting Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods), Jamie returned to Penn State for a M.S. in Meteorology. While there he got his first opportunity in front of the camera, and decided television was worth pursuing after school.

Jamie's stops have been in Minnesota (including a record snowiest winter), Atlanta, GA at The Weather Channel, then to Dayton. Jamie brings nearly two decades of experience forecasting the weather in the Miami Valley. Jamie also teaches the first meteorology course ever offered at the University of Dayton. While not at work Jamie enjoys hitting the area's bike paths in the warmer months and doing anything with his wife and two young sons.
