I’m so excited to be joining the Dayton 24/7 Sports Team.
I was born and raised in Louisiana. I grew up in New Orleans, where I attended Thomas Jefferson High School (Go Jags!) then moved to Baton Rouge, where I went to college and graduated from Southern University (Go Jags, again!). Now, I’m excited to call Ohio my new home (even though getting used to the cold might take a while).
Before Dayton, I worked at WBRZ in Baton Rouge, producing news and covering sports. I had a blast covering the LSU Tigers during their historic National Championship run, covering the iconic Bayou Classic between Southern and Grambling, and getting locked inside the stadium after covering the SWAC Championship (it’s a long story).
I’ve had a passion in sports since I started playing baseball back when I was 9 years old. I later picked up basketball, too. I’ve always spent entirely too much of my free time talking about (occasionally arguing) sports with my friends. So after a while I said, “If I’m going to talk about sports all the time anyway, I might as well make that a career,” and that’s how I got here. My favorite teams are the LSU Tigers, Southern Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Yankees, and wherever LeBron James is playing (it’s complicated).
When I’m not at work, you can find me watching sports, listening to a sports podcast, or if I’m really feeling active, on the basketball court throwing up bad shots. I’m also a huge fan of anything food-related, have pretty much all of "Hamilton" memorized, and I’m subscribed to way too many streaming services.
I love to tell stories, especially those of our local athletes, so if you want yours told, feel free to reach out to me. And if you see me out in public, come say hello!
