One injured in shooting incident in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) -- Police were called to the scene of a shooting incident at 40 West Hudson Avenue just before 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police were notified to the situation after receiving a shot spotter alert, which allowed them to get to the scene much a few crucial minutes faster than if the call had gone through 911.

When police arrived on the scene they found one person, a 22-year-old black man, injured inside a vehicle. He and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Dispatch was unable to provide further details on how badly injured they were.

One suspect was seen in the area carrying a long rifle whom dispatch described as being dressed in all black with a black mask. Police continue investigating the area, and say that they have promising leads. They also say that multiple weapons were involved in the incident.
