18-year-old identified in Piqua fatal shooting, suspect arraigned in court

PIQUA, Ohio (WKEF) -- A judge in Miami County set on Monday a $1-million bond for a Piqua man charged in connection with a fatal shooting last week.

Cory Miller, 19, of Piqua is charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. Miller entered a not guilty plea during an arraignment Monday morning, according to court records.

Miami County Coroner Dr. William Ginn confirmed with Dayton 24/7 Now that Deacon Graham, 18, of Piqua had died in the shooting. Graham been shot three times, Ginn said.

Police responded to the 1500 block of Forrest Avenue near Fountain Park at about 11:16 p.m. to a report of two men with gunshot wounds, according to Piqua Police Department.

A second man shot, 20-year-old David Feniello, of Piqua was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Feniello was later released from the hospital.

Piqua Police Deputy Chief Dave Thomas says all three men were acquainted with each other.

Police haven't released further details on what lead to the shooting.

A preliminary hearing for Miller is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 1 p.m.
